Signed unique one-off artist’s book, ships to USA only

A kiss can be platonic, passionate, a greeting, or a farewell. It can be a sign of love, friendship, respect, or celebration. It is one of the most personal physical gestures. There are many types of kisses: butterfly kisses, mistletoe kisses, air kisses, forehead kisses, little pecks, French kisses, and blown kisses. In some cultures, the New Year begins with a kiss at midnight. Some believe this brings luck.

I applied lipstick daily in January 2011 and photographed my lips with a Polaroid camera. I then folded and ‘kissed’ a single tissue to remove the excess lipstick. Each photograph and tissue was kept in date order. They are presented in a unique one-off handmade large clam-shell tissue box containing two hard-cover hand-bound books.

Box: Hardcover clam-shell style, stamped with an oval-cut window and plastic separators like a tissue box. Box size approx. 16 x 10 ¼ x 2 ¼ inches, weight approx. 2 lbs.

Book 1: unique 2-ply white unscented facial tissues, each approx. 22.8 x 20cm. The artist kissed each tissue wearing L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick Wined Up 701. Hardcover, stamped.

Book 2: unique Polaroid photographs of the artist's lips, wearing L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick Wined Up 701. Picture size 2.1 x 3.4", image size 1.8 x 2.4". Hardcover, stamped, accordion fold pages.
