Odette Elix England was raised in rural South Australia and now teaches at the Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University. A 2022 Guggenheim Fellow, her work blends autobiography with photographs to explore place, gender, and rituals of loving and leaving.
She has published six award-winning books. Her first novella Isn’t X Beautiful is available for pre-order here.
She is currently working on her second novella, Once I Was A Photograph, and an experimental re-telling of Susan Sontag’s On Photography.
